What data is collected
Depending on how you use this site, the following personal data may be collected:
Contact form
When you fill in the contact form, the following fields are collected: your name, business name, business sector, which plan you are interested in, and your message. Submissions are sent through Fastmail to info@webdesignbydv.com and stored in that Fastmail mailbox.
Contact buttons on this site can open a WhatsApp conversation. That conversation takes place directly on WhatsApp, a service operated by Meta, and is governed by WhatsApp's own privacy policy and terms. This website does not store the content of WhatsApp conversations.
Analytics
This site uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand which pages are useful, but only after you accept the Statistics category in the cookie banner. Nothing is measured before that consent is given. See the cookie statement below for details.
Why this data is collected
Personal data collected through this site is used only for:
- Responding to your enquiry and preparing a quote or proposal
- Understanding, in an anonymized way, which pages are useful so the site can be improved
- Meeting legal obligations, for example bookkeeping requirements once an agreement is in place

Contact form and WhatsApp data is processed based on your consent in reaching out, and where an agreement follows, on the performance of that agreement. Analytics data is processed based on your consent, given through the cookie banner, and can be withdrawn at any time.

Who your data is shared with
Personal data is only shared with the following processors, and only as needed to run this website and this business:
- Vercel, which hosts this website and, once accepted, runs the anonymized analytics
- Fastmail, which handles and stores contact form submissions, with the primary copy of data hosted in Fastmail's Amsterdam data centre in the EU and replicated to the United States for resiliency
Data is not sold, and is not shared with any other third party for marketing purposes.
How long data is kept
- Contact form submissions and enquiry correspondence that do not lead to an agreement are kept no longer than 12 months, then deleted
- Data relating to an actual engagement, such as invoices, customer records, and related correspondence, is kept no longer than 7 years, to meet the Dutch fiscal retention obligation (bewaarplicht)
Your rights
Under the AVG/GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data held about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request erasure of your data
- Restrict how your data is processed
- Object to processing
- Receive your data in a portable format
